  •  Oh, and Heron, on my http://calmtadvocate.pbwiki.com don't forget to go to the bottom of that first page in the center column there is a "see all pages" so you can see the full index of just this one site that I've built! I expect you and other adults are vocalizing and advocating your interest in "well rounded educations that include critical thinking"? Thanks for your support of the message deliverers.

  •  Heron, Those of us "new teachers" have been advocating mightily to teach critical thinking, but alas, with NCLB and State Standards tests whose performance must be incrementally increased each year lest there is some degree of School takeover by the State, that is not a focus. See: http://calmtadvocate.pbwiki.com and read it all through. I am not a lone teacher but many of us are frustrated by the production approach to education in K-12 today. I sneak in teaching Art in my info. literacy work!

  •  heron--enjoyed hearing your thoughts and veiws at the Long Beach Philosophy Meetup. Your presence provocatively presented perspectives. (Notice my eschewal of "to be".) Anxioiusly looking forward to hearing about the 5 stupidities, and hoping to see you at our next Meetup,
    Chris

  •  One of the top three quality people I've met here. Heron's got the goods. Creative, knowledgeable, grounded, and powerfully thoughtful. Exactly the sort of hip, aware, dialed-in person I want to meet. I'm glad to know him.
