- I've been studying philosophy since the ripe ole' age of 13 when my junior high school counselor taught me that my attitude & beliefs were much like that of an "existentialist". It's difficult to find like minded friends. Hoping that will change here

His concept of "awakening" is interesting, but I'm not long for this genre. I majored in philosophy from pre-socratic through early modern... with a bunch of psych courses in between so I lean more toward the classics in liturature, pholosophy, theology, etc. Let's catch up after 5/12. Perhaps he's just setting it up, i.e., "religion" of its self is good and from there build the case for the rest of his argument...are you reading it with anyone?
