The NYC Continental Philosophy Reading Meetup Group 5.00 5.0085

This meetup consists of different groups of people reading certain material to different degrees of depth and intensity. Books we've read in the past are Descartes' 'Meditations', Hume's 'Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding', Kant's '1st Critique', Kant's 'Prolegomena', and Heidegger's 'Being and Time'.

From time to time new groups are formed and remain open for awhile to newcomers.

Hegel's 'Phenomenology of Spirit' is open now to join.

If you join our meetup, you'll get an email as soon as any new group starts. No background in philosophy required. Feel free to propose a reading group topic or volunteer to organize one!

What members are saying

I like this focused discussion tied to the reading that takes place in a friendly, non-competitive, non show-off atmosphere. Oh, the wine is good too. Sharon

 Wicked smart.
