Several members have asked to discuss the topic of gender. What does gender mean? Is it simply a biological designation or does it go deeper and broader than that? How are gender roles established and maintained? Are gender roles impacted only by culture or are there more universal forces at work? How are gender roles changing and will there be a day when they no longer exist? Let's talk about gender.

    To Richard and everyone else, these meetups last around two hours, so until 9 PM. However, if the discussion is really good people can stay as long as they like. If you can't make it until 8-ish, I still recommend that you come. See you tomorrow.

    New to this group, and just curious how long your discussion meetups normally last? I'd like to attend, but wouldn't be able to make it over until 8-ish. I mean, how can a philosophical talk on gender NOT last at least a few hours, right? :p
